Debt Facility / Details

In this dialog, you enter details of the Debt Facility.

Start Date

The date at which the debt facility begins. This is used with the Term to define the fixed term of the debt facility.

Default: Y1.

Term

The term of the debt facility in years.

Default: 0.

Grace Periods

Interest

The number of years’ grace before any interest is paid.

Default: 0.

Repayment

The number of years’ grace before principal repayments (amortisation) begin. New borrowing is only allowed during this grace period.

Default: 0.

Interest Rate

The interest rate of the loan. This can be defined as a fixed rate or, for variable-rate loans, as a time series.

Default: Constant {0.0}.

Amortisation Frequency

The number of repayments per year that will be made. This input is not relevant when the model is run in years.

Default: 1.

Maximum Credit

Defines the credit limit.

Default: 0.0 (which means that no limit is applied).

Fees

Fixed Start

Defines an up-front fixed fee at the start of the term.

Default: 0.0.

Variable Start Prop.

Defines an up-front variable fee, defined as a proportion of the new credit each year.

Default: Constant {0.0}.

Fixed Annual

Defines a fixed annual administrative fee, paid at the start of each year during the term (except for the first year).

Default: Constant {0.0}.

Variable Annual Prop.

Defines a variable annual administrative fee, paid at the start of each year during the term (except for the first year). This is specified as a percentage of the unused credit (where a maximum is defined).

Default: Constant {0.0}.

Mapping (3)

When borrowing incrementally from a number of facilities, this input defines what share of the incremental borrowing the current debt facility should satisfy.

Default: Constant {0.0}.

Sequence Index

When borrowing sequentially from a number of facilities, this input determines the order in which they are used. Borrowing will only proceed to a higher-index facility (or group of facilities) when the first is fully subscribed.
