Transformation / Service

A Service transformation may be selected from the Type menu in the Input and Transformation dialog. In a Service transformation, the demand is determined by the demand of a Service in the model. Service transformations are only used a input to other transformations.

A Service transformation is equivalent to a Multiplier transformation with a Service Input and Multiplier set to 1.

These inputs are accessed via the Input and Transformation dialog.

Output Unit

Select the output unit that you want to use from the drop-down list box, or define your own. The selection has no effect on the model but is used in results graphs.

Default: none.

Multiplier (2)

Multiplies the Input of a Transformation to calculate its Output.

Default: Constant {1.0}.

Input

Service

The Service from which the ‘size’ of a Transformation Input is derived, in conjunction with the Basis.

Default: <none>.

Basis (2)

A choice of which Resource or Service result defines the ‘size’ of a Transformation Input, e.g., Installed Capacity, Installed Units, Used Capacity, Incremental Units, Incremental Capacity, Capital Expenditure, Utilisation, Consumption or Consumed Units (Resource), or Connections, Average Connections, Traffic, Busy Hour Traffic, Revenue, Annual Traffic, Annual Revenue or New Connections (Service).

Default: Installed Capacity (for a Resource) and Connections (for a Service).
