4.2.7 Opening a model automatically

There are some situations where it can be convenient to arrange for the Editor to open a model as soon as it starts up, e.g., if you are planning a demonstration for some colleagues. The easiest way to achieve this effect is to make use of the Editor’s command-line interface.

  1. Right-click to explore the Windows Start menu, locate the STEM group under All Programs, and then select the File/New command to create a new shortcut.

The command line “c:\stem\ed.exe c:\models\mobile c:\models\mobile2” will load the STEM Editor, and automatically open the mobile and mobile2 models.
