STEM help / Exchanging data

6.8.2 Saving data from all visible graphs

If you have drawn a number of graphs in the Results program, you can save the underlying numerical data from all these graphs in a file, again as tab-separated text:

  1. Select Draw… or Draw New… from the Graphs menu to draw the graphs.
  2. Select Save All Visible… from the Graphs menu. A standard Windows file-selection dialog appears, entitled Select a Graph File.
  3. By default, the data is saved in a file called stem.grh, the current directory.
  4. If you want to save the data somewhere else, select the drive and directory and type in the desired filename (STEM automatically adds the .grh extension).
  5. The file can be opened in a program such as Notepad.

If you type or select the name of a file that already exists, STEM will ask you whether you wish to overwrite it, append the new data or choose a different name.

Visible graphs saved as text

The results data can now be loaded or imported directly into another application.
