The Enterprise STEM (eSTEM) server software has only been tested so far with IIS 7.5 on the Windows Server 2008 R2 platform (and Windows 7 during development), and with IIS 8 on Windows Server 2012, but we are confident that it should work on any reasonably recent Windows server platform as long as it runs the .NET framework v4.0 or better. The explanation that follows is specific to IIS 7.5, but parallels with other Windows server platforms should be obvious.
