This model illustrates the concept of a stock of consumable resources with a ‘shelf life’. The consumable resource Spares pack can support the requirements for spares until the end of its ‘shelf life’ or until all spares have been used up. The model assumes a growing demand for spares from Y2 due to an increasing amount of installed Equipment. The results below show the capacity view and cost view in different time periods.
