6.3.4 External defaults for Input–Output mapping series in Excel

Unlike the Interpolated Series associated with time series, the Interpolated Series in an Input–Output Mapping Transformation is interpreted as a series of Inputs and corresponding Outputs (with no time dependency) – see 10.3.34.4 Input–Output Mapping Transformation.

There is no special support for sharing Inputs between mappings (as there is for time-series years), and thus a simpler representation is used in Excel, which is based on a single InterpSeries label, as shown below:
