If you have just run a model, the Results program is automatically activated and the results of the model run are loaded. STEM will warn you if the results of another model are already open; click
Yes
to close these other results before proceeding. If you want to review the results from the other model at the same time (to make a comparison, for example), click
No. The new results will then be added to the current workspace.
If you are starting a new session and want to review results you already have:
- Select Open Results… from the File menu. A standard Windows file selection dialog is displayed showing the results files in the current directory (*.smr).
- Select one or more files (for more than one file, use the mouse in association with the <Ctrl> or <Shift> keys).
- If you already have results open, you are asked if you want to close the current workspace before proceeding. Click
Yes
to close the current results file, or click on No
to keep it open and add the new results to the workspace
- The title bar gives the following information in sequence, separated by ‘;’ [semi colons]: (a)the name of the loaded workspace, (b) the name of the loaded configuration file, (c) the name(s) of the results files that are open, separated by commas, (d) the name of the active view.
Note: See 5.20 Managing configuration files for an explanation of which configuration is loaded with the model results.)

Note: You can also open results from a results workspace– see 5.21 Managing results workspaces.
STEM model results and results workspaces can be viewed and opened directly from Windows Explorer. The required association of the
.smr and .smw file extensions is done automatically by the STEM installation program, and the Results program will load additional results if it is already running.
