10.3.34.3 Multiplier Transformation

Produces an Output that is a multiple of its Input. The Multiplier input is a Time Series, and so can be varied over the model run.

As an example of the use of a Multiplier Transformation, consider the case where users of a telecoms service initially have one terminal each on average, and the average number of terminals increases over the model run. Create a Multiplier Transformation with Input drawn on the basis of Service Connections, and the Multiplier set to the average number of terminals in each year. The Output of this Transformation is then the required number of terminals, and it can be used to install the terminal equipment, through a Resource Requirement.
