Simply selects a resource result as its Output – the same construction as a resource Input to a more general transformation. For example, an
Access Link resource could be defined as the Input to a Resource transformation, and so used to install equipment in an
Exchange Termination Function.
Basis
You can choose which resource result defines the Output from the following:
- the amount of
Installed Capacity
- the number of
Installed Units
-
the amount of
Used Capacity
-
the number of
Incremental Units
-
the amount of
Incremental Capacity
-
the amount of
Capital Expenditure
-
the amount of
Utilisation
-
the amount of
Consumption
-
the number of
Consumed Units.
You must ensure that the Capacity Unit of any secondary resource, required by this transformation, is compatible with the Basis you have chosen, so that if, for example, the Basis of the transformation is
Installed Units, the capacity of the secondary resource is defined in terms of units of the primary resource.
A Resource transformation is equivalent to a Multiplier transformation with a resource Input and Multiplier set to 1. However an explicit Resource transformation must be used to feedback revenues when building Value Chain models – see 10.3.35 Value chain analysis.
