If you have previously set a field with a formula and now want to discard the formula while retaining the corresponding value:
- Select the field in the data-dialog grid with the mouse or cursor keys.
- Select Freeze from the dialog Edit menu.
The value previously calculated by the formula is set and displayed in black, as if you had entered it by hand. For example,
2 + 3
would be replaced by the value 5.
For an input governed by several parameters, such as a time-series button, the Freeze command will set all the inner fields and remove a formula on the button for the input as a whole, but any overriding formulae for individual inner fields will persist
– see 4.14.3 Linking default values for model elements. In order to freeze the values of all the inner fields:
- Select the button in the data-dialog grid with the mouse or cursor keys.
- Select Deep Freeze from the dialog Edit menu.
All formulae, both on and within the button, are replaced by the corresponding values.
